Maintain Email Templates

It's always nice to be able to send emails that are personalised and with your company branding, with ConvallisCRM's email templates, it is easy to do. You create a template then you're set to start sending your emails.

  1. Select Administration then Maintain Email Templates.
  2. Click Create Template to add a new one, or select one from the list on the left.
  3. Type in a Name for your template.
  4. Select a Category that you would like your template to go in.
  5. Select any Attachments that are you would like to go with the template.(optional)
  6. Write the information you would like to appear on the template (Do not include email message, only general information, such as logo or email signature details). For personalisation use the 'Select Item' drop down menu at the point in the template where you wish to add the personalised information.
  7. If you would like this template to be the Default template for the category, tick the Default Template box.
  8. Click Save.

You can also create a HTML email template in your favourite WYSIWYG editor and import the file into the CRM and use it as a template which can be edited within the CRM, this can be done by clicking Import HTML file... button and selecting the file you wish to import*.

* Some WYSIWYG Editors will use relative paths (e.g. "/Marketing/Image1.png"), if your HTML file uses images or links you will need to change the path to be a full path (e.g. "C:/User/Conv/Pictures/Marketing/Image1.png").

You can create backups of your templates by choosing the template that you want to back up and clicking the Export HTML file... button then choosing a location to save the file.
