Maintaining Touch Categories

Touches are used in ConvallisCRM to represent how you make contact to your contacts, such as e-mail, telephone, meeting etc. This is important to keep an accurate record of when and how you have communicated with a contact and can be a useful record should a query arise or for example a colleague who has been dealing with a contact is away and gets in touch with you, if the touches are up to date you will know exactly what has been happening with that contact. These touch categories can be set up to your personal requirements, this guide will show you how.

Click Administration, then click Maintain Lists, this will open the Maintain Lists box, to maintain the Touch Categories, click the row labelled Touch Categories.

Maintain Touch categories

To add a new Touch Category click Add, this will open a new window where you can type in the name of your new Touch Category. Once done click OK where it will save your new Touch Category.

To delete a Touch Category click the red cross, which will open a message box to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

To edit the name click Edit button, this will open a box where you can edit the name. Click OK after editing to save the changes.
